Synopsis: We have studied the method for determination of SiO2, TiO2, Al2O3, Fe, Mn, CaO, MgO, Na2O, and K2O in coating of mild steel arc welding electrodes by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. In this study the working conditions for the determination of these components, the influences of reagents for fusion, acids, and diverse coexisting components, and the suppression of the interferences were examined systematically.
