This paper seeks to analyze the experience of male-to-female transgender inmates housed in men's prisons and to propose housing and healthcare policies with humanity and safety for all in mind. To do this, the paper examines gender dysphoria and its treatments, transgender prisoners' increased risk of victimization, current housing placement policies, and lastly, transgender prison healthcare practices.
