... h has tended to focus on mostly parental involvement and learning achievements; however, few published studies have attempted to identify the relationship between parental involvement and learner autonomy. Hence, the present research carries out a case study in an EFL context with nine students and their parents by administering semi-structured interviews. The findings of content analysis of collected data reveal that a moderate and positive involvement in English language learners' learning process may lead to foster children's autonomy; nevertheless, involving in all process from setting goals and making decisions to applying appropriate techniques of children may result in less autonomous behaviors. Considering the psychological aspects, a wide range of studies can be carried out to shed more light on the issue of parental involvement and learner autonomy.
