While admits ting all this, however, there can be no doubt, we feel assured, that a new arrangement of stand-posts, with stop-cocks, pails, and gully-holes for the removal of refuse water, would serve every useful purpose cheaply, effectually, and with a nearer approach to sanitary success than the trough system.
