Studies on Space Debris Tracking and Elimination
2010
46th AIAA/ASME/SAE/ASEE Joint Propulsion Conference & Exhibit
unpublished
Due to the growing number of space debris orbiting about the earth, cost effective space traffic control and space debris elimination techniques are inevitable. The fact is that the orbital debris is self-generative due to satellite breakup as a result of collision with space debris. The probability of threat to life is bound to increase with the increase in space debris over the years. If the debris problem is not addressed, it will soon become unmanageable and detrimental to future space
