Case study of a focusing workshop held by the Nagara-gawa method Yoshimi ITO 〈Key Words〉 focusing workshop, Nagara-gawa method, 6 features, case study, experiential significances 〈Abstract〉 The purpose of this research is to report the Nagara-gawa focusing workshop and clarify the experiential significances of participants by a case study. This program is held in a schedule of three days and two nights in the Nagara-gawa Hot Springs. The participants of the workshop were 11 people with 4 staff.
more » ... The entire schedule was made up by 2 community sessions, 6 sessions and a party. The Nagara-gawa method has 6 features. As experiential significances the participants reported (1) self-understanding, (2)free and comfortable experiences, (3) learning of focusing methods and skills, (4) a variety of focusing experiences, (5) acceptance, exchange and sharing in the group, (6) fulfilling meaningful time experiences, and (7) motivation to further learning of focusing.
