Received signal strength based mobile positioning via constrained weighted least squares
2003 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003. Proceedings. (ICASSP '03).
| Location estimation of mobile phones has received considerable interest in the eld of wireless communications. In this paper, a simple and e cient positioning algorithm using received signal strength measurements obtained from at least three base stations are developed. Our proposed method is based on solving a nonconvex constrained weighted least squares problem. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed method achieves the Cram er-Rao lower bound.
