ANALYSIS OF "KÜÇÜK AĞA" NOVEL IN TERMS OF THEME AND STRUCTURE

Analysis of "Küçük Ağa", by Tarık Buğra, in terms of theme and structure is a study of the mentioned novel. The novel tells about the Ottoman Empire defeated in the World War I and then the liberation movement and the struggle for independence. The establishment of Kuvayımilliye and the replacement of Kuvayımilliye by the regular army is told eloquently. more » ... There existed a struggle between those who support the Sultan and those who support Kuvayımilliye to liberate the country which was under invasion. While Kuvayımilliye supporters were aiming to save the Sultan, claiming that the Sultan was held captive in the hands of the British, the Istanbul government considered the supporters of Kuvayımilliye as insurgents and issued a fatwa against them.
