COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT EFFORTS IN PRIVATE FOREST DEVELOPMENT OF MALANG REGENCY, INDONESIA

This research discusses community empowerment efforts in private forest development in Malang Regency. Community empowerment efforts in the development of private forests are not optimal because there are still some obstacles, namely the lack of forestry extension workers, low community participation, and weak institutional farmer groups. Planning for community forest development is formulated in a top-down approach. The community is still not involved in the planning of private forest development in Malang Regency.
