Maintaining the consistency of each node is the key factor to preserve system usability in a distributed virtual environment (DVE) system. However, due to the existence of communication delay between nodes, it is hard to sustain the absolute consistency of the system while providing acceptable responsiveness of the nodes, thus affecting the interactive experience of the user in the virtual world.
