Due to their tribological properties coupled to their high strength -to -weight ratio and ease of manufacture, Polymeric materials are widely used in most of modern industries. They are replacing other materials in producing different machine elements of satisfactory properties. Gears, cams, bearings and bushes are good examples. During their working life, such machine elements are exposed to different causes of failure such as wear due to impact forces. The aim of this research is to

All experiments are conducted under dry condition. Preliminary results show that the presence of impact forces has significant effects on the wear behaviour of all examined polymers. Such effects vary from one polymer to another.
