For a simulation of freshwater habitats, it is important to link landscape and instream processes. Therefore, a methodology is developed to jointly simulate catchment, instream and habitat-defining processes at different scales. Hydrologic and hydraulic processes, as well as ecologic methods, are technically coupled and depicted in one simulation approach.
