Re sults: In the abovementioned period, 60 pa tients with pan cre atic in ju ries were treated. More than 50% of pa tients were man aged by le sion su ture and drain age. A to tal per cent age of com pli cations was 32.6% and an over all mor tal ity was 18%. Con clu sion: Man age ment of pan cre atic in ju ries might pres ent a se ri ous pro fes sional prob lem, even if managed by qual i fied and ex pe ri enced teams in highly spe cial ized ("high vol ume") cen ters.
