Biodiesel with its economic and environmental advantages is an alternative to petroleum fuels. The use of residual oils can be an cost reduction alternative in the production of biodiesel but they may contain high levels of fatty acids that can cause soap formation and reduced production yield of alkyl esters. Acid-catalyzed esterification, is used to reduce the acid index of oils because it leads to the conversion of free fatty acids into esters. Thus, the aim of this work is to study the
