Parameters Affecting Phosphate Sorption from Sludge Liquors by Hybrid Anion Sorbents
2015
A two-phase technology, comprising sorption and electrodialysis for P-recovery, is examined. The sorption of phosphate ions is a critical step for the overall system. A hybrid anion sorption called LayneRT is used to eliminate phosphate ions from sludge liquors. The objectives of the study are: characterization of P-sorbents under batch experiments; investigation of P-sorption mechanisms; analysis and fractionation of sludge liquors; evaluation of continuous performance with fixed-bed column.
