Objective: To estimate the prevalence and factors associated with the burnout syndrome and quality of life among nursing professionals. Methods: Cross-sectional, analytical study, developed with 83 professionals in emergency care units in the city of Campina Grande-PB. A questionnaire was used to characterize the sample, the Maslach Burnout Inventory scale and the SF-36. Data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.
