The HiLASE Centre is equipped with a Laser Shock Peening station (LSP). LSP is a surface enhancing technique and it is used to prolong the fatigue life of metallic components. Part of the station is a FANUC M-20iA/20M 6-axis industrial robotic arm equipped with an R-30iB controller.
