Finding an isometric map between two intrinsically symmetric surfaces is a fundamental problem in computer graphics. However, the deviations from perfect isometry make this problem challenging to the state-of-the-art methods. In this paper, we propose an automatic and robust algorithm based on functional maps for finding nearly isometric maps.
