A Printed Antenna Design with Defected Ground Structure for Multiband Applications

In this paper, the design and analysis of a printed antenna based on a defected ground structure for multiband applications is introduced. The proposed antenna consists of two rectangular slots like an inverted stair. Different five strip lengths are in the area of an inverted stair slot. Four strips are equal in width and horizontally located inside the main two rectangular slots. The fifth strip is the smallest one in the middle of the structure in the ground plane.
