Training in palliative care is a necessity for health care systems. Nursing education should guarantee the development of basic skills in this field of health care. The objective of the study is to explore the notions about palliative care of a group of students from a nursing institute, in the light of the skills established by the Colombian Network of Education in Palliative Care.
