The Causes of Gender Segregation in Higher Education

In recent years, gender segregation in the labor market has infiltrated into higher education. The sex ratios in many departments are highly unbalanced which cannot be explained by biological differences. This essay aims to explore the causes of gender segregation in the university. XJTLU is selected as the site to conduct in-depth interviews with university students.
