Conclusions Perioperative pain management for lumbar laminectomy should include paracetamol and NSAID-or COX-2specific inhibitor, continued into the post-operative period, as well as intraoperative surgical wound instillation or infiltration. Opioids should be used as rescue medication post-operatively.
