2004
Zeitschrift für Kristallographie - New Crystal Structures
C13H11CIO4, monoclinic, P12i/cl (no. 14), a = 11.322(2) A, b = 5.255(1) A, c = 19.718(2) A,/3 = 91.87(1)°, V= 1172.5 A 3 , Z = 4, Rgt(F) = 0.058, wR^F 2 ) = 0.154, T = 293 K. Source of material The title compound was prepared in analogy to the literature [1] by reacting 2,6-dichlorobenzoquinone with freshly prepared 1,3dimethoxy-2-ethyl-1 -(trimethylsiloxy)-1,3-diene. Discussion In the crystal the molecule is probably stabilized by a strong intramolecular hydrogen bond between the OH group
