Fournier's gangrene is a serious infection of the genital and perineal area, potentially fatal with a higher prevalence in males; It is considered a urological emergency, for which an opportune diagnosis is the norm. Patients present with systemic symptoms, genital discomfort, intense and penetrating pain in the perineoscrotal region.
