New Type Antifoggants for Silver Halide Photographic Materials

Eighty eight organic compounds, such as N-unsubstituted sulfenamides, N-aroyl or N-acylsulfenamides, 1, 4, 2-dithiazolium salts, 1, 2, 4-diserenalium salts, heterocyclic cation compounds, and their various related compounds were newly synthesized. We examined their antifogging ability for color film of silver halide photograph. As a result, we found some new lead compounds with high antifogging ability, and thus developed new type antifoggants superior to conventional ones having thiol structure,
