On the Distribution of Dimethylsulfide and Dimethyldisulfide in Sea Water in Hiro Bay [Note]

The chemical components in benzene extract of sea water of Hiro Bay are analyzed and identified by GC-MS. Hydrogensulfide, methylmercaptan, dimethylsulfide and dimethyldisulfide were identified by matching MS and gaschromatographic data with those authentic samples or published standard data. Dimethylsulfide and dimethyldisulfide were found in 40 samples taken at the 16 stations in Hiro Bay.
