... to uncertainty has not been sufficiently studied. The aim of the study was to identify the range of values that are the basis and resource of a person's tolerance to uncertainty. The study involved 227 people (115 men and 112 women). The methodological tools included the method "scale of general tolerance to uncertainty" by D. McLain and pairwise comparison of the importance of values (M. Rokich, E. B. Fantalova). Correlation analysis revealed values that are positively and negatively associated with tolerance to uncertainty. The values of knowledge, freedom, and creativity are the main pillars of a person's tolerance to uncertainty, while the values of material well – being, health, interesting work, and a happy family are the antagonistic ones. A comparison of groups with a contrasting level of tolerance to uncertainty (n = 59 and n = 60) confirmed this result and also showed the distinctive role of middle-level values in the overall hierarchy of values. They serve as a support for the individual's tolerance to uncertainty. The obtained data deepen the understanding of the role of values in the personal regulation of human interaction with the world and can be used in pedagogical and consulting psychological practice.
