Anti-Assimilable: (Re)defining Asian American Identity [thesis]

whose class introduced me to Asian American Studies in my first year of college, and who has guided me in so much intellectual growth throughout my years at Wesleyan. Though the majority of my blood-family will never be able to read my work, I am eternally grateful for the work and care they have provided for generations following. Finally, this project goes out to a younger version of myself, a child who did not have the vocabulary to communicate the experience of navigating PWIs as a racialized queer, the knowledge to validate the messiness of identity, and who was so, so angry.
