Predictors of Traumatic Childhood Experiences by Continues Anger and Anger Expression Styles

In this study, it was aimed to determine the predictive power of childhood traumatic experiences of high school students in terms of continuous anger and anger expression styles and some variables. A total of 460 students (262 females, 198 males) attending to the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades were included in this study. more » ... hool time, difficulty in anger control, being a member of a low-income family, and having any chronic illness significantly explained 14.3% of the variance of emotional abuse and emotional neglect. Anger outburst, working out of school time, having any chronic illness, low academic achievement, and being a member of a low-income family significantly explained 18.7% of the variance of physical abuse. Receiving disciplinary punishment, male gender, low academic achievement, working out of school time, and anger out significantly explained 22.8% of the variance of sexual abuse. Findings are discussed in the context of related literature.
