STUDY OF ENERGY DISSIPATION IN BEAMS SUBJECTED TO MOVING LOADS
2011
unpublished
In this work the vibrations control and energy dissipation of a simply supported beam subjected to moving loads is studied. The beam is controlled by a moving vibration absorber that acts as energy dissipator. The absorber is described as a linear spring-mass-damper system. The results show the importance of the position of the damper on the energy dissipator.
