Pulmonary vein (PV) isolation is considered the cornerstone of atrial fibrillation (AF) catheter ablation. PV isolation (PVI) by means of cryotherapy has emerged as a promising technique due to both a low thrombogenicity and reduced risk of PV stenosis.
