A l a r g e F a s t Neutron Cavity ( F N C ) , which permits t h e f l e x i b i l i t y of a l t e r i n g t h e neutron spectrum, has been developed and operated i n t h e c e n t r a l r e g i o n of t h e P h y s i c a l Constants T e s t i n g Reactor ( P C T R ) . Analysis of m u l t i p l e f o i l a c t i v a t i o n measurements i n t h e c e n t e r of t h e FNC was made t o o b t a i n a s e t of i n f i n i t e l y d i l u t e s a t u r a t e d a c t i v i t i e s f o r twenty-six r

The.SAND-I1 code was used f o r neutron spectrum determination from t h e experimental d a t a . Neutron spectrum r e s u l t s unfolded from t h e m u l t i p l e f o i l a c t i v a t i o n d a t a were compared w i t h proton r e c o i l spectrometer measurements, i n t h e c e n t e r of t h e FNC, and w i t h r e a c t o r t h e o r y c a l c u l a t i o n s f o r t h i s f a s t -thermal coupled r e a c t o r .
