The effects of electrochemical removal reaction of lithium from the Li-doped Bi-2212 phase on its structure and superconducting properties have been studied. Lithium was inserted into and removed from Bi2Sr1 .5Ca1.5Cu2Oz through an electrochemical . method at a constant applied potential at room temperature.
