The calculation of stresses in a fl at sliding contact under the conditions of vibrational friction during fretting is given. The calculation and experimentally estimated the infl uence of mechanical loading parameters (load, amplitude and oscillation frequency) on the equivalent stresses in the contact and the linear wear rate of the friction surfaces.
