Hürthle cell adenoma is a rare variant of benign lesion of thyroid gland, however aggressive nature and potential controversies about its malignant nature still remains. Pre-operative diagnosis is difficult, fine needle aspiration cytology may show Hürthle cell lesions, but final diagnosis is confirmed by histopathology for capsular and vascular invasion.
