The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of teaching physics using the six-dimensional strategy in developing concepts and problem-solving skills, and the scientific tendencies of the first-grade secondary students. The research groups consisted of (67) students in the first grade from two secondary schools in Aswan. The experimental group taught the section of "linear motion" according to the six-dimensional strategy, whereas the control group taught according to the common method.
more » ... answering the research questions and verifying his hypotheses, a manual for the teacher and a booklet for the student, as well as three instruments were prepared. The t-test of Independent Samples and Person Correlation Coefficient (r) were used to analyze the results of the students. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences for the experimental group at the level of 0.05 between the mean scores of experimental and control groups. The results indicated that there were significant correlations among the three dependent variables at the level of 0.05. The research recommended the importance of employing the six-dimensional strategy in teaching physics and in branches of different sciences. Moreover, it recommended the importance of holding training programs based on this teaching strategy for pre-and in-service teachers.
