Pt-decorated Ag@Cu2O heterostructures were successfully synthesized using a simple and convenient method. The Pt nanoparticle density on the Ag@Cu2O can be controlled by changing the concentration of the Pt precursor. The synthesized Ag@Cu2O–Pt nanoparticles exhibited excellent catalytic performance, which was greatly affected by changes in the Ag@Cu2O–Pt structure.
