O QUE É A LIBERDADE PARA EPICTETO
unpublished
The kátharsis and the phrónesis present in Plato's Phaídon, reappear slightly modified in Epictetus' philosophy. Kátharsis, represents the body's detachment having as main instrument the prohaíresis. The phrónesis, reappears as the contemplation of the world's government. The body's detachment united with the the contemplation of the world's government composes the path to conquer freedom (eleuthería) in the Epictetian sense.
