Acarbon / silica composite ( composite ) fabricated丘om agricultural waste of rice husk ( RH ) without us 血 g any binders . h the present stud } -the effect of heating temperature on the mechanical and material properties of the composite was jnvestigated . The slab − shaped composites heated to 30e, 500, 800, 1000, and l200 ℃ were prepared and their mechanical properties such as bulk density and compressive strength were evaluated . more » ... sity and compressive strength , which were respectively L259 / cm3 and 2034 MPa . lt was revealed that the composites were subjected to therma1 shrinkage of the matrix material derived from RH . The thermal shrinkage led to a densification of the composite , improving the mechanical properties .
