The organotin compounds dibulyltin (DBTC) and diphenyltin dichlorides (DPTC) were tested for trypanocidal activity on a Trypanosoma brucei-infected mice model. At a dose of 10 mg DBTC and 15 mg DPTC/kg/day for five consecutive days, they cleared the parasites from the peripheral blood of the infected mice.
