Effects of Heterogeneity in Board IT Capital on Firm Innovation

This study proposes a model to examine the relationship between the heterogeneity in the board's IT capital and firm innovation, and the role played by the firm's IT absorptive capacity and environmental dynamism in this relationship. Drawing from theories in corporate governance, organizational learning and innovation literatures, we argue that heterogeneity in the board's human and social IT capital will positively influence firm innovation.
