Reproductive function is a vital process for continuation of life and requires an appropriate endocrine, molecular and cellular organization. In every stage starting from maturation of ovarian follicle up to implantation of the embryo, a convenient endocrine environment including normal thyroid hormone levels is of utmost importance. Our aim in this review is to evaluate effects of hyper-and hypothyroidism on fertility and also discuss relationship of infertility and assisted reproductive techniques (ART) regarding their effects over thyroid functions and auto-immunity under the guidance of current information.
