Purpose of the study; this course aims to investigate the relationship between the communication skills of secondary school teachers and the levels of organizational cynicism. The study group of the study consisted of 301 teachers who were chosen by simple random method among the teachers working in the 2017-2018 academic year at the official secondary schools in Küçükçekmece, İstanbul. Communication skills scale-adult form and organizational cynicism scale were used as data collection tools. Organizational Cynicism Scale was used to determine teachers' organizational cynicism levels; It was developed by Brandes et al. (1999) and adapted to Turkish by Kalağan (2009). Communication Skills Scale-Adult Form was created by Korkut Owen and Demirbaş-Çelik (2017). In the study, it was found that there was a statistically significant negative correlation between the communication skills and organizational cynicism levels of the teachers working in secondary schools. It can be said that the organizational cynicism levels of secondary school teachers whose communication skills are high and the level of organizational cynicism decreases as communication skills score increases. An open communication environment can be established between the administrators and teachers and cynical attitudes and behaviors can be reduced in schools. The sample of the research was composed of middle school teachers. Preschool education institutions, teachers working in primary schools and academicians working in universities can also participate in the study. Opinions about the communication skills of the teachers working in secondary school; It can be examined by a qualitative research by taking the opinions of administrative staff, students and parents.
