Nowadays, the use of local ports. by international container cargo is increasing. When the imported/exported cargo uses nearby local ports, the internal trucking distance would be shortened. From environmental point of view, this means reduction of the amount of CO2 exhausted by trucking. In our research, we estimated the amount of CO2 to be decreased in recent five years and in the near future, when nearby local ports are to be utilized.
