Com este estudo, pretendemos investigar: a) as variantes diatópicas e variantes diastráticas na construção morfológica para a flexão de gênero feminino dos substantivos chefe e presidente; b) verificar o número de registros entre os sexos, as faixas etárias e nível de escolaridade dos informantes das seis capitais mencionadas, a fim de chegarmos a um veredito sobre o uso mais corrente da flexão dessas palavras para o gênero feminino, se é a variante formal, a chefe/ a presidente ou a variante informal, chefa /presidenta; c) refletir sobre o uso do feminino dessas palavras no contexto atual, com base em estudos de Mendes de Almeida (1985), Cunha e Cintra (1985), Rocha Lima (1985), Bechara (2001), entre outros. Abstract: In this article, our goal is to analyze the morphosyntactic occurrences to the questions 07 and 09 of the Morphosyntactic Questionnaire (QMS), which is part of the project of the Linguistic Atlas of Brazil (ALib): the feminine of boss and the feminine of president. For analysis, we chose as corpus the answers from respondents in six State capitals from of three Regions of Brazil: in the South (Curitiba and Florianopolis), in the Northeast (Fortaleza and Salvador) and in the Southeast (Sao Paulo and Belo Horizonte).
