Big Data Critical Thinking Skills for Analysts - Learning to Ask the Right Questions

Big data analysis is in high demand; however, little work has identified important critical thinking skills for big data analysts. Here we suggest these critical thinking skills include understanding the limits of measurement and representation, the challenges of the uniqueness of information, and of underdeterminism, and the difficulty of selecting an appropriate software tool.
