... nto dos casos confirmados de LTA na região junto ao Centro de Vigilância Epidemiológica (CVE-SES-SP), de 1998 a 2012. Foram notificados 21 casos de LTA na área do PEA e 47 casos nos municípios do PERP, com maior incidência em Dracena. A ocorrência e o aumento da incidência de casos de LTA constatados na área de estudo relacionam-se às transformações ambientais e ao processo de adaptação dos flebotomíneos. The American Cutaneous Leishmaniasis (ACL) is one of the forms of disease that has extensive distribution in Latin America. The objective of this study was to analyze the occurrence of ACL in the municipalities that integrate the State Parks of Aguapeí (PEA) and Rio do Peixe (PERP), in State of São Paulo/Brazil. Therefore, we carried out a survey of confirmed cases of ACL in the region by the Epidemiological Surveillance Center (CVE-SES-SP) from 1998 to 2012. There were 21 reported cases of ACL in SAP area and 47 cases in the districts of SRPP, with higher incidence in Dracena. The occurrence and the increased incidence of ACL cases observed in the study area are related to environmental change and the adaptation of sandflies process.
