The article is devoted to the role of the media, primarily television, in the development of national identity in Tajik society. In this regard, the author explores the economic, socio-political, cultural factors that contribute to the consolidation of the nation, as well as negative factors such as the phenomenon of clan and clan relations, related marriages and others that negatively affect the formation of the national identity of the Tajik people.
