The primary goal of urban parks and green spaces is to provide ecosystem services not only for the people that use them but also for the entire urban population. So far, few studies have recorded the views of residents about parks and urban green spaces in Cyprus island. They were also asked to record problems such as noise pollution, mess from companion animals and unpleasant odors. The residents' satisfaction regarding the local authorities and their contribution towards improving parks and green spaces was also evaluated to some extent.
