Functional, porous metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have attracted much attention as a very flexible class of crystalline, porous materials. For more advanced applications that exploit photophysical properties, the fabrication of hierarchical assemblies, including the creation of MOF/MOF heterointerfaces, is important.
